Join Our Leadership: PFPC Board of Directors Nominations
The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council (PFPC) is seeking passionate and committed leaders to help shape the future of our local food system. If you or someone you know is passionate about building a more just and equitable food system in our region, we encourage you to apply.
Board members play a critical role in guiding PFPC’s mission, representing diverse voices, and fostering collaboration across sectors.
To be considered, nominees must:
Fill a vacancy within one of PFPC’s defined stakeholder groups (see list below)
Submit a brief written statement outlining their connection to that stakeholder group
Share why they are interested in serving on the PFPC Board
Upload Resume and Photo that will be used to announce Nominees and for future board materials (if selected)
All nominations will be reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted for the next steps in the process.
What Makes a Strong Candidate?
Deep understanding of their stakeholder community
A passion for food justice, equity, and sustainability
Commitment to attending and contributing to board meetings
Willingness to help guide the strategic direction of PFPC
