Pittsburgh Food Policy Council to Celebrate Food Justice Fund Awardees
Community Leaders to Share Stories of Impact, Equity, and Food Access
WHAT: The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council (PFPC) invites the media to attend the Pittsburgh Food Justice Fund Celebration, an evening honoring nine community organizations working to end food apartheid and expand equitable food access across Pittsburgh. Awardees will share their projects, successes, and community impact, and attendees will hear updates from the City on this year's grant application process.

BACKGROUND: The Pittsburgh Food Justice Fund was established to increase public investment in a just, equitable, and sustainable food system. The fund prioritizes grassroots community efforts that address food apartheid by increasing access to opportunities to grow, learn about, and eat healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant foods.
